How to help:
The work of volunteers is one of the most important components of our work. Not only does it help us thrive and help those in need, but it teaches people the value of volunteering and helps them feel the satisfaction of paying it forward by helping those in need.
JOIN US AS A VOLUNTEER
If you would like to get involved with our AMPI, there are a number of ways you can do it. It will depend on the availability of your time, your desire to serve, your strengths, your personality and your desire to make a difference in someone else’s life. In either case, there is probably something you can help us with.
Here are some examples of things you can do and activities where you can participate.
If you belong to an organization, you could have them sponsor our:
-Christmas party and/or presents for our participants
-Thanksgiving lunch
-Monthly birthday cakes. We have birthday celebrations every month!
-Recreational and sports activities for participants
You can offer your professional services for free. We regularly need auto mechanics, accountants, plumbers, electricians, doctors, teachers, barbers, hair stylists, dentists, and many others.
If you know arts and crafts, you can offer your volunteer services to any of our programs.
We can also use tutoring services at our homes.
Donations of used goods and furnitures to be sold at La Tiendita de AMPI.
You can help us organized an organized volunteer group
Develop our first “ Somos panas” monthly activities club
As you can see, we have numerous opportunities where your help is needed.
You can be of help on any number of them.
